Cookie Notice

Last updated: 23 August 2026

This Cookie Notice explains what cookies and local storage technologies are used by AdsDoneEasy, their purposes, and how you can manage your preferences in accordance with the ePrivacy Directive, GDPR, German TDDDG (§ 25 TDDDG), and global privacy standards.

1. Strictly Necessary Cookies and Storage (Essential)

Strictly necessary storage technologies are essential for the operation, authentication, and security of the SaaS platform. Pursuant to § 25(2) No. 2 TDDDG and Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, these do not require prior user consent:

  • Authentication & Security Storage: Session tokens and authentication keys managed via Amazon Cognito to verify your identity and maintain secure sign-in states.
  • Locale & Language Preference (ade_locale): Stores your preferred interface language (English or German) across page visits.

2. Operational & Service Telemetry (Consent-Independent)

To ensure platform stability, prevent abuse, and diagnose technical errors, AdsDoneEasy records strictly anonymized operational events independently of marketing consent.

Operational telemetry logs error codes, latency, and route names linked exclusively to a one-way hashed account pseudonym. It does not set persistent tracking cookies, does not load third-party marketing tags, and does not record personal identifiers.

3. Optional Analytics & Measurement (Consent-Gated)

Optional website analytics are deactivated by default. They are loaded only if you explicitly choose “Accept analytics” in our cookie banner:

  • Google Tag Manager & Google Analytics 4 (GA4): Deployed in Basic Consent Mode. No scripts or tracking tags are downloaded or executed until affirmative consent is given. Measures aggregated traffic sources and marketing performance.
  • First-Party Session Measurement: Records anonymized page interactions on public marketing routes using a temporary, SHA-256 hashed session identifier stored in sessionStorage that automatically rotates after 30 minutes of inactivity.
  • Marketing attribution (ade_attribution): Stores first-touch UTM campaign parameters for seven days so trial signup can attribute the original marketing link. Set only after you choose “Accept analytics”. No third-party ad cookies.

4. Managing and Revoking Cookie Preferences

You can modify or withdraw your cookie preferences at any time using the persistent “Cookie settings” link in the footer of our website.

Regional notice: Visitors whose network location indicates the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland see our cookie banner on first visit because local law requires prior opt-in for optional analytics. Visitors from other regions (for example the United States) are not prompted on first visit; optional analytics remain off until you opt in through Cookie settings. Hosting in AWS eu-central-1 does not determine which standard applies — your location and our service targeting do.

Global Privacy Control (GPC): We natively support and honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals sent by modern web browsers.

Browser Controls: You can configure your browser to block or delete cookies. Note that disabling essential cookies may prevent login and application features from functioning properly.
